Depicted in our logo are an eye and a lens in the form of a circle.  The circle is symbolic of the fact that our distribution company has come full circle by placing on the South African market the very lens that our Managing Director was successful in launching in Europe for clinical studies 10 years ago.  The eye and the lens are a pictorial representation of the micro lens that is the spearhead product of our portfolio of carefully selected and innovative medical devices for which we are distributors in South Africa.

FineVision by Physiol

FineVision: We are pleased to announce the addition of this highly innovative trifocal IOL made by Physiol in Belgium. The FineVision optic combines two diffractive structures that are adjusted to offer the +3.5D addition for near vision and another +1.75D addition for intermediate vision. It is designed so as to reduce the loss of light energy resulting from any diffractive system. This energy gain results in a significantly improved performance for intermediate vision while maintaining the performance for far and near vision. We will initially launch this lens to carefully selected Ophthalmologists in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. We hope to make the product available to the broader South African market in July this year.

Peschke: We are proud to announce our partnership with Peschke Meditrade in Switzerland. Peschke have been at the leading edge in the design and manufacture of Cross Linking devices for many years. The Peschke device fits into the PresbiVision range of products especially well as it is the first such device available on the South African market which reduces the radiation time from 30 minutes to only 5 minutes. This reduces the discomfort for the patient by 25 minutes. To further reduce the patient discomfort we also supply the MEDIO CROSS Riboflavin solution in trans epithelial form. This eliminates the need to roughen up the Cornea before Cross Linking. The normal versions of Riboflavin in Isotonic and Hypotonic form are also available under the Medio Cross labels.
